The doubters???
Those deciding whether to fly the 18s on the forecast are playing a bit of Russian Roulette in my eyes. Today is meant to be raining and horrendous according the forecasts. Picture is in Oxford. I wouldn't say soarable but it a damn site nicer than predicted
1 day to go
Here we go then. The day before the comp. It looks a fantastic field of competitors including many present and former British team members, European champions, and a world
Champion (I believe). That coupled with the same team that ran the very successful Junior Worlds this should shape up to be a top comp.
The director is fairly confident we will get at least one day out of the first weekend with Monday and Tuesday starting to look fairly tasty.
We have our fingers crossed.
Please feel free to comment on any posts/videos...I have left the anonymous box ticked so you don't have to name yourself but try and keep it sort of clean.
I'll be at the airfield from 3pm so photos etc will start from then on really...

Weather
Saturday and Sunday are touch and go...bright spells but showery. Monday and Tuesday looking good though. Definitely worth a late entry

MotoGP
Just a reminder that the A43 could be fairly clogged up on the way to HB if you are coming from Bic, Las or anywhere else from the South due to the MotoGP being at Silverstone.

Nearly there
Here we go then. This is the Official Unofficial blog for the 18m nationals at Hus Bos starting on Saturday.
The idea is that the main Hus Bos/SoaringSpot site will provide the basic facts of the day - first launch etc and the blog will update those of you with more time with photos/news/videos etc. Hopefully this will mean that the scorers can focus on the scoring rather than getting pressurised into uploading stuff onto the web.
To start with it will be Matt Davis and myself uploading stuff however if anyone at the comp would like to join in you would be more than welcome.
At present it's looking 50 50 for Saturday. Very unstable air mass but possible sunny spells.
